What it actually looks like
These scenes are styled, but the dot grid is drawn to match the real 20 x 20 curtain: bold shapes, short words, chunky pixels.
Best after dark. In daylight they're much harder to see.
G'day, I'm Jayme. I run Larrikin Lights on my own from Victoria, and this is my first Christmas doing it.
I picked one product I reckon is good fun, and I wrote this page so you know exactly what you're getting, the good bits and the limits. Got a question before you buy? Email hello@larrikingoods.com and I'll answer it myself.
Cheers, Jayme
The quick version
- $79 for 2 x 2 m, $99 for 3 x 3 m
- Free delivery Australia-wide, usually 10 to 20 business days
- Buy 2, save 15%. Buy 3, save 20%
- 30-day change of mind, and faulty items sorted under the ACL

Hang it. Plug it. Play.
No electrician, no mains wiring. It runs off a USB wall plug or a power bank.
Hang it up
It has hooks along the top. Hang it from a curtain rod, railing or pergola beam, or use cable ties. Straighten the strands and you're done. Renting? A tension rod or adhesive hooks work, no drilling.
Plug it in
The USB lead (about 3 m) plugs into any 5 V 2 A USB wall plug, like the one from your phone charger, or a power bank. Wall plug not included.
Open the app
Free phone app over Bluetooth. Pick an animation, type a message, draw your own design, or sync it to music.

Honest expectations
We'd rather you love it than return it, so here's the real deal:
- It's a 20 x 20 grid, so think bold 8-bit shapes and short words, not photos.
- Both sizes have the same 400 lights. The 3 x 3 m is bigger, not sharper.
- It looks best at night, from across the yard or the street.
- Messages scroll best under about 40 characters.
- Bluetooth range is short, so stand fairly close when you change designs.
Good questions, straight answers
How do I control it?
With the free app on your phone, over Bluetooth. Pick from built-in animations, scroll your own message, draw your own pixel designs, or sync it to music. There's no remote.
Can I put my own pictures on it?
Yes, by drawing them dot by dot on the 20 x 20 grid in the app, or by picking from the built-in gallery. Because it's 20 x 20, bold simple shapes work and detailed photos don't.
Which size should I get?
3 x 3 m for big windows, balconies and garage doors. 2 x 2 m for a standard window or door. Both have 400 lights, so pick on size, not sharpness.
Can it go outside?
It's designed for indoor use, like hanging in a window. If you put it on a balcony or verandah, keep it under cover and keep the USB controller and wall plug dry.
What do I need to power it?
Plug the USB lead into any 5 V 2 A USB wall plug (the one from your phone charger is fine) or a power bank. There's no battery, so there's nothing to charge. The wall plug isn't included, but most homes already have one.
When will it arrive? Will it make Christmas?
It ships from our overseas supplier with tracking, usually arriving in 10 to 20 business days. Order by Friday 13 November for the best chance of delivery before Christmas.
What if it's faulty or I change my mind?
Faulty, damaged or not as described: email us a photo or video and we'll replace or refund it under the Australian Consumer Law. We cover return postage on faulty items. Changed your mind: return it unused in its box within 30 days for a refund of the item price. Email us first and we'll send the return details.
Why are there no reviews?
We're new for Christmas 2026, and we won't post fake ones. Reviews from real buyers will appear here after delivery. In the meantime, email hello@larrikingoods.com and we'll send extra photos or a video.
